Why Choose Sea to Sky Trips?
At Sea to Sky, we don’t just create dive trips—we craft life-changing adventures. Whether you’re an experienced diver or taking your first plunge beneath the waves, our journeys are designed to connect, inspire, and create lasting bonds with fellow adventurers.
Our philosophy is simple: diving is more than exploring underwater landscapes—it’s about building community, sharing stories, and embracing the beauty of the world’s most spectacular dive sites. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a friend, you’ll be welcomed into a supportive, vibrant circle of divers ready to explore the ocean with you.
Sea to Sky trips are thoughtfully curated to make diving accessible, inclusive, and—above all—fun. We believe that curiosity, openness, and mutual support are what make our community so special. When you travel with us, you’re signing up for more than just unforgettable dives; you’re embarking on a journey of discovery and connection, forging memories that will stay with you forever.
It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out with your Open Water certification or you’ve logged hundreds of dives—Sea to Sky is for everyone. We take pride in offering trips as diverse and welcoming as the ocean itself.

Who Can Join Our Trips?
Our trips are open to all divers—no matter your background, experience level, or where you call home. Just like our online community, our trips embrace diversity and inclusivity. We celebrate individuals of every age, race, size, gender, sexuality, ability, and religion. With Sea to Sky, it’s not just about exploring the underwater world—it’s about creating a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered.
Age Is Just a Number
Our trips attract an incredible mix of divers—from energetic 20-somethings to wise adventurers in their 70s and beyond. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer or a newcomer eager to dive in (literally and figuratively), you’ll find a warm, welcoming atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to share stories and laughter. We don’t believe in age limits—if you’re ready to dive, we’re excited to have you join us!
Dive Requirements—What You Should Know
To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, we ask that participants provide their dive qualifications and complete a few simple forms. Whether you’re an Open Water diver or an advanced enthusiast, we’ll pair you with the right group to match your pace and style.
Some destinations may have specific requirements, such as a minimum number of logged dives. Always check the trip details to ensure your skills align with the adventure. Feeling a bit rusty? No worries—consider taking a refresher course before joining us.
If you have any medical conditions that could affect your diving, please let us know in advance. Your safety is our priority.
Active Adventures and Endless Fun
Diving with Sea to Sky is more than just a sport—it’s an active adventure filled with unforgettable moments. Liveaboard trips can offer up to four dives a day, while land-based trips usually provide two or three dives per day. On some trips, like our Red Sea Diving Safari, we offer unlimited diving – grab a tank and dive in whenever you please!
If you’re wondering whether a particular trip suits your fitness level, don’t hesitate to reach out. Our friendly team is always happy to chat and help you find the perfect adventure. Have specific accessibility needs? Let us know! We work closely with our partners to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience.
Respect for Local Cultures and the Environment
At Sea to Sky, we hold deep respect for the cultures, communities, and ecosystems we visit. Our trips aren’t just vacations—they’re opportunities to connect with local traditions, learn from diverse perspectives, and support sustainable tourism.
We encourage every guest to approach destinations with curiosity and consideration. Engaging thoughtfully with local communities not only enriches your journey but also promotes positive and lasting impacts.
We’re also passionate about ocean conservation. All our guests receive guidance on responsible diving practices—from avoiding contact with marine life to using reef-safe sunscreens. Together, we can protect these underwater wonders for generations to come.
Essential Dive and Travel Insurance
Travel and dive insurance are mandatory for all Sea to Sky trips. We recommend securing your coverage as soon as you reserve your spot. This ensures you’re protected if anything unexpected arises.
You can opt for a combined dive and travel insurance policy or choose separate plans. If you already have dive insurance (such as DAN), simply add travel coverage for your trip. For a seamless experience, we recommend DiveAssure, which offers Sea to Sky guests a 10% discount.
Stay Connected with Ease
While our trips may take you to remote and beautiful locations, staying connected doesn’t have to be a challenge. Cell service and Wi-Fi may be limited, but we’ve found that using an E-SIM is the easiest and most affordable solution.
An E-SIM works across all the countries we visit and can even cover multiple destinations if you have layovers. We love using Airolo (no affiliation—just a fan!) for its ease of use and reliability.
Navigating Visas
Our Sea to Sky team has personally visited every destination we feature, so we’re happy to guide you through the visa process for each country. Whether it’s paperwork or insider tips, we’ve got you covered.
Your Safety Is Our Priority
At Sea to Sky, we prioritize your safety above all else. We expect all divers to follow safe diving practices and respect the guidance of dive masters. Always dive within your certification limits and comfort zone to ensure everyone enjoys the trip worry-free.
We encourage all guests to stay healthy and hydrated—aim for at least 3 liters of water per day, get plenty of rest, and avoid excessive alcohol or recreational drugs. A healthy diver is a safe diver.
If our dive staff recommends sitting out a dive for safety reasons, we ask that you respect their decision. Their focus is to keep everyone safe and ensure a positive, enjoyable trip.
Important Guidance for Egypt Trips
For those joining us in Egypt, please note the following MAIB (Marine Accident Investigation Branch) guidance:
- Book with recognized operators to ensure high safety standards on liveaboards.
- Request a comprehensive safety briefing covering emergency signals, exit locations, safety equipment, and abandon-ship procedures.
- Know where the life jackets and emergency exits are located. Ask for a walkthrough and practice drill before departure.
- Keep a small, reliable dive torch in your cabin or dry bag for emergencies.
- Be aware that search and rescue operations in Egypt are chargeable (currently $4,000 USD per hour). Ensure your insurance covers potential rescue costs.
- Pack a sea survival kit (mirrors, strobes, PLBs, EPIRBs, flags, dye bombs, D-SMBs) to increase your visibility if separated from your dive group or vessel.
Additionally, Egypt’s new force majeure law prevents liveaboards from departing if high winds are deemed unsafe. Sea to Sky cannot be held responsible for trip disruptions due to this regulation.
