Where You Can Learn to Dive

Where You Can Learn to Dive

Choosing the right destination is just as important as choosing the right course. Warm water, calm seas, and professional dive centres make all the difference when you’re starting out. That’s why we’ve hand-picked a few of our favourite places to learn — combining safe conditions with unforgettable holiday experiences.

Whether you want the exotic fjords of Oman, the vibrant reefs of the Red Sea, or the relaxed charm of Italy’s Adriatic coast, these destinations offer the perfect balance of training and travel adventure.

Musandam, Oman

Musandam, Oman

Discover the magic of Oman’s fjord-like coastline while earning your certification. Dive into vibrant reefs, drift with gentle currents, and witness hidden underwater treasures in a truly unique destination.

We think you’ll love it because…
It’s a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path location with warm water, stunning landscapes and a friendly SSI dive centre that makes beginners feel at home.

Jeremy’s Top Tip: Oman’s calm bays are perfect for your very first dives — don’t forget to look up, dolphins often cruise past on the surface!

Marsa Shagra, Egypt

Marsa Shagra, Egypt

Get certified on the edge of the Red Sea in one of Egypt’s most iconic eco-villages. Think house reefs bursting with colour, relaxed shore dives, and daily boat trips to unforgettable sites.

We think you’ll love it because…
The house reef is right on your doorstep, meaning you can build confidence with easy shore dives before exploring further on guided trips.

Filomena’s Top Tip: Taking a surface interval drinking mint tea with friends and relaxing on the hammocks are just as memorable as the dives.

Puglia, Italy

Puglia, Italy

Warm hospitality, delicious food, and stunning Mediterranean diving – what’s not to love? Learn to dive along Italy’s beautiful Adriatic coast and explore underwater caves, wrecks, and unique marine encounters. Year-round training is available, even in winter when cooler waters reveal a different marine ecosystem.

We think you’ll love it because…
It’s the perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and diving – making it as much about the destination as the course itself.

Filomena’s Top Tip: Combine your course with a few extra days inland – Puglia’s towns and countryside are just as unforgettable as its reefs.
