The Solomon Islands are THE destination for the scuba diving enthusiasts looking for a change of scenery, completely off the beaten track.
The Solomons comprise 992 islands, less than 50% of which are inhabited. Situated within the coral triangle to the northeast of Australia and southeast of Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands are one of the last frontiers; untouched, peaceful and beautiful.
The biodiversity is hard to beat
The biodiversity in Solomon Islands is hard to beat and rivals any other Indo-Pacific dive travel destination for coral reefs and marine life but without the tourist numbers. You will find wrecks, caverns, drop offs, wide-angle reefs and large sea fans and have an opportunity to experience the traditional culture of the islanders.
For those divers who like their creatures on the large side there are various types of shark and rays cruising amid the spectacular scenery of jaw dropping reefs, walls and pinnacles. For macro lovers, a plethora of critters can be found including pygmy seahorses, colourful nudibranchs, electric clams, ghost pipefish and many more. There is something for everyone in the Solomons.

The Solomons Master
The steel-hulled Solomons Master boasts eight double occupancy cabins providing comfortable accommodation for up to 16 guests with a choice of classic, premium or superior cabins. Each cabin benefits from private, en-suite bathroom facilities and individually controlled air-conditioning.
The dive deck on Solomons Master is large and spacious with individual set-up stations, under-bench storage and a platform at the rear complete with a deco bar. The boat is fully equipped to cater for recreational, technical and rebreather divers.
The main deck houses a spacious indoor dining room as well as a camera station complete with numerous charging points and storage space. After a fantastic day of diving, unwind and relax in Solomons Master’s indoor lounge and bar area which is equipped with a plasma screen ideal for watching a movie or photo viewing.
Alternatively, head out to the shaded relaxation area or the large sundeck on the upper deck and sink into a lounge chair to soak up the atmosphere and stunning views.

7 Nights Itinerary – WWII History
The Solomon Islands were the scene for some of the fiercest WWII battles in the South Pacific; with names such as Bloody Ridge, Red Beach, Skyline Ridge, and Henderson Field remaining to mark the brutal combat areas.
The numerous WWII wrecks in the area are in various conditions with the highest concentration in the area known as Iron Bottom Sound between Guadalcanal and Florida Island; some of the wrecks remain fully intact, while others are in pieces, or completely blown apart due to the damage suffered in battle.

Notes
The majority of the WWII wreck dives on this itinerary are at the deeper end of recreational limits, often between 30 and 40 metres (100-130ft).
Certification Level
PADI Advanced Open Water certification, or equivalent, is mandatory, with a minimum of 75 logged dives.
In order to fully participate in all dives on the WWII Wreck itinerary, Deep Diver (40 metres) certification and wreck diving experience are strongly recommended. You will be asked to provide copies of your certification card(s) and show recent log book(s) upon boarding the vessel to confirm your dive qualifications and experience.

Diving Notes
Although the sites covered on the WWII Wrecks itinerary are all within recreational limits, many lay at the boundaries of those depth limits. Therefore, bottom times may be limited by your experience or certification.
We often complete two or more dives at a single site to ensure you have time to properly explore the wrecks.
Penetration diving is always dependent on the condition of the wreck and will be limited to those with appropriate certifications and experience. Unguided penetration is NOT allowed.
All guests are responsible for their own dive profiles and for obtaining suitable dive insurance to cover all in-water activities. We respectfully request that you dive conservatively at all times, stay within the bounds of your training, follow dive computer guidelines and make decompression stops where necessary.

The Florida and Russell Islands 7 night scuba diving liveaboard itinerary allows up to 22 dives around Honiara, the Florida Islands and the Russell Islands, including the iconic Leru Cut and Mirror Pond as well as WWII wreck sites.
In addition to experiencing some of the best dive sites of the Solomon Islands, you will have the opportunity to visit a local village for a sing-sing, some souvenir shopping, or even a game of football with the local children.

Diving around Solomon Islands is generally suitable for all experience levels, although some sites can be challenging and unsuitable for entry level divers. We recommend guests have PADI Advanced Open Water certification, or equivalent, with 40 logged dives.
You will be asked to show your certification card(s) and recent log book(s) upon boarding the vessel to prove your dive qualifications and experience.
Any guests who do not have the recommended certification and experience, or who our crew feel have insufficient experience or skills in certain conditions, may be denied participation in some or all dives.
Insurance
It is a mandatory requirement for all divers to have insurance which covers scuba diving activities, including emergency evacuation and recompression chamber costs.
Transfers
Transfers between Honiara airport or local hotels and Coral Sea Resort on embarkation and disembarkation days are provided free of charge.
Guests arriving on morning flights, or departing on afternoon flights are welcome to relax at Coral Sea Resort, or can leave their luggage at the resort if they wish to venture into town.
